Fernando Parro is an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins University and a Kenen fellow at Princeton University. Starting in August 2019, he will join the Department of Economics at Penn State University as an Associate Professor in Economics. Previously, he also worked as an Economist and Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. His research focuses on the trade and welfare effects of international trade policy, and on the distributional effects of globalization. His research has been published in numerous journals including the Review of Economic Studies, Econometrica, and the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago, and a M.A. and B.A. in economics from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.
