Davin Chor is Associate Professor at Department of Economics, National University of Singapore. He got his Ph.D. degree from Harvard University, and carries his fields of teaching and research in International Trade, Political Economy, Growth and Development, and Economic History. As the main instructor, he teaches International Economics, Topics in Economics: International Trade, Economic Analysis of Multinational Firms in National University of Singapore. As a teaching fellow in Harvard University, he tutors in Globalization and History, and Macroeconomic Theory.


His most recent publications include Organizing the Global Value Chain, (With Pol Antràs); Schooling, Political Participation, and the Economy; Measuring the Upstreamness of Production and Trade Flows (With Pol Antràs),etc. His popular writings include“What’s Keeping Blue-Collar Wages Low?”on The Straits Times,“Teaching Rebels,”on International Herald Tribune, and“Off the Cliff and Back? Credit Conditions and International Trade during the Global Financial Crisis,”(With Kalina Manova).
