MENG Bo is the Deputy Director at International Input-Output Analysis Studies Group of Development Studies Center. He got his Ph.D. of Information Sciences in Tohoku University, and conducts research in Interregional (international) Input-Output Analysis, Spatial CGE Modeling, Global Value Chains (GVCs) related Analysis. Prior to his position in Development Studies Center, he worked in Xi'an Highway University as an assistant economist, OECD, Paris(Research Fellow Sent Abroad), and International Input-Output Analysis Studies Group of Development Studies Center. He has worked in Academic Societies such as Japan Society of Civil Engineers, Applied Regional Science Conference, Chinese Input-Output Association, International Input-Output Association, OECD Scientific Committee.
His major works are China’s Regional Economies and Value Chains: An Interregional Input-Output Analysis (with Yaxiong ZHANG, Jiemin GUO, Yong FANG, 2012); Input-Output Based Economic Impact Evaluation System for Small City Development: A Case Study on Saemangeum's Flux City Design (with Nobuhiro OKAMOTO, Yoshiharu TSUKAMOTO,2012), Application of Factor Decomposition Techniques to Vertical Specialisation Measurements (with Norihiko YAMANO and Colin WEBB, 2011), etc.
